Silicone oil usually refers to the linear polysiloxane which remains liquid at room temperature. It is a kind of silicone products with many varieties and a wide range of applications. According to the different classification of substituent groups on the polysiloxane chain, silicone oil can be divided into: methyl silicone oil, phenyl silicone oil, ethyl silicone oil, hydroxyl silicone oil, amino silicone oil, hydrogen silicone oil, vinyl silicone oil and polyether modified silicone oil, fluorosilicone oil and so on.

1, dimethyl silicone oil
Dimethyl silicone oil is the most common variety of silicone oil, is the largest dosage, the most widely used variety;

2, phenyl silicone oil
Another kind of phenyl silicone oil which is widely used is the product obtained after part of methyl is replaced by phenyl. According to the different content of phenyl, it can be divided into the following categories: low phenyl silicone oil (phenyl mole fraction 5% ~ 10%); Medium phenyl silicone oil (phenyl mole fraction 25%); High phenyl silicone oil (phenyl mole fraction 45%); High phenyl low degree of polymerization silicone oil (phenyl mole fraction more than 45%); Crosslinked phenyl silicone oil.

3, ethyl silicone oil
Various ethyl ethoxylsilanes were hydrolyzed in the presence of hydrochloric acid and condensed into polysiloxane. After molecular rearrangement and fractionation under vacuum, various ethyl silicone oils with different viscosity could be obtained. Used as a release agent for a variety of rubber and plastic products. The product is of low volatility, low surface tension, non-toxic, non-corrosive, aging resistance, and can be mixed into different viscosity according to the needs of use. Widely used in electrical industry insulation materials, precision instrument oil, hydraulic oil, special lubricating oil and so on.

4, hydroxyl silicone oil
Hydroxyl silicone oil can be used as structural control agent in the production of room temperature silicone rubber and chain extender in the synthesis of other products

5, amino silicone oil
Amino-silicone oil is the basic ingredient of textile soft finishing agent

6. Vinyl silicone oil
Vinyl silicone oil is the production of molding liquid glue, silicone gel base glue

7. Modified silicone oil
Among the modified silicone oil, polyether modified silicone oil has the largest dosage, which is widely used as a leveling agent, fiber oil agent, fabric finishing agent, cosmetic raw materials, coating leveling agent, defoamer and pesticide spreading agent, etc.; Fluorosilicone oil, because of the common advantages of both siloxane and fluorocarbon, has excellent weather resistance, lubricity and hydrophobicity, widely should be in aerospace, automotive, mechanical and electronic machinery and other friction fields.
