Silica has a very significant reinforcing effect on various rubbers, among which the reinforcing effect on silicone rubber is particularly outstanding.
Silica is a white reinforcing agent with a reinforcing effect that is second only to the corresponding furnace black. Compared with vulcanizates reinforced by corresponding furnace carbon blacks (such as HAF), vulcanizates containing a certain amount of carbon black have the advantages of high strength, large elongation, high tear strength, high hardness, and good insulation. Carbon black and white carbon are usually used in combination to obtain better comprehensive performance.
