Silica has small particle size, large specific surface area, large surface energy, strong adsorption capacity, high purity, high stability, reinforcement, thickening, thixotropy and other excellent properties. At the same time, it also shows unique performance in light absorption, magnetism, thermal resistance, catalysis, melting point and other aspects. It is widely used in various industries as additives, catalyst carriers, petrochemical, decolorizing agent, matting agent, rubber reinforcing agent, plastic filler, Ink thickener, metal soft polish, insulation and thermal insulation filler, advanced daily cosmetics filler and spraying materials, medicine, environmental protection and other fields.
1. Coating industry
The refractive index of amorphous white carbon black is 1.457, which is similar to that of conventional resin coatings. Therefore, amorphous white carbon black is the first choice of deluxe for high-grade coatings. It has good optical properties when used in varnishes and can produce matt and matt effects.
As we all know, wind power generation is a kind of green new energy for developing environmental protection. The adhesive used on the blade is a strong polar epoxy resin system. The blade has a large size and large cross-sectional area, so the requirements for bonding performance and strength are very high, and the requirements for viscosity, anti sagging performance and anti settling performance are very high. Epoxy resin is a resin system with strong polar groups and strong polarity. Generally, hydrophilic fumed silica is used, which is prone to solvent effect. That is, after rigid dispersion, the viscosity and suspension effect are very good. However, after being placed for 7 to 10 days, the polar group destroys the hydrogen bond forming the network structure, leading to hydrogen bond cracking, thinning, thixotropy, filler precipitation and other problems, It is recommended to use the strongly hydrophobic modified nano level fumed silica as the wind blade adhesive, which has strong stability and avoids solvent effect.
2. Rubber industry
As a widely used environment-friendly rubber reinforcing agent, silica rubber has excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, insulation, heat insulation, chemical resistance, and pollution resistance, and plays an irreplaceable role in national defense industry, building decoration, aerospace and other fields.
When it is used as tire tread reinforcement, it can reduce rolling resistance, maintain excellent wet skid resistance, save fuel, reduce automobile exhaust emissions, and reduce rolling resistance by about 30%. It is an important raw material for manufacturing "green tires".
After the white carbon black particles are modified by AMI, the interaction between particles is reduced, and the agglomeration is reduced. When it is used for doping rubber, it can promote the vulcanization of rubber to a certain extent, and the arrangement of rubber molecular chains is more orderly.
3. Daily life
In recent years, super absorbent resin is a new polymer fine chemical product, which is widely used in industrial supplies, daily hygiene products, medical treatment, agriculture, civil engineering and other fields, especially in daily hygiene products and agriculture. The super absorbent resin has the functions of small particle size, high salt water absorption rate, fast absorption speed, less monomer residue, etc. It is commonly used in daily sanitary products, including baby diapers, adult diapers, ultra-thin diapers, sanitary napkins, pet pads, nursing pads, absorbent paper, dust-free paper, toothpaste, etc. In the production process of baby diapers, diapers and sanitary napkins, the quantitative determination of super absorbent resin is a key link. The role of fumed silica in water absorbing resin is to increase the fluidity of water absorbing resin, prevent agglomeration, facilitate the flow of super absorbent resin in the pipeline, avoid pipe plugging, and improve production efficiency.
4. Biofiltration
Biofiltration is a typical air pollution control process to deal with volatile organic compounds. The mass transfer of hydrophobic volatile organic compounds to the biofilm is limited, resulting in low removal efficiency of the biofilm. In order to enhance the migration of hydrophobic organics, the addition of hydrophobic gaseous silica in the biofilter can remove pentane, etc.
