Introduction:
Methyl vinyl silicone rubber is also called vinyl methyl silicone rubber. Its full name is Polymethyl vinyl siloxane rubber (MVQ), which is obtained by introducing a small amount of vinyl on the side chain of dimethyl silicone rubber. The introduction of vinyl improved the shortcomings of dimethyl silicone rubber, improved the vulcanization activity of silicone rubber, and could use organic peroxide with less activity for vulcanization and crosslinking, and the dosage could be reduced. At the same time, the properties of vulcanizate are improved, such as increasing the hardness of products, reducing the compression deformation, vulcanizing thick products more evenly, and reducing the occurrence of bubbles. It is generally believed that silicone rubber with vinyl content of 0.07~0.15% (mol) has better comprehensive properties. Although the vulcanization speed can be improved by increasing the vinyl content and can be vulcanized with sulfur accelerator, the thermal stability of the compound and the physical properties of the vulcanizate are decreased.
