Many manufacturers have environmental requirements for mixing silicone rubber, especially for silicone products that are in close contact with humans or animals. Is mixed silicone rubber toxic?
Blended silicone rubber is mainly produced by mixing methyl vinyl silicone rubber, white carbon black and silicone oil at high temperature. It has the characteristics of high and low temperature resistance, non-toxic and tasteless, stable chemical performance, etc. If we produce the mixed silicone rubber according to the normal formula, it is in line with the environmental protection testing requirements. Generally, the mixed silicone rubber can pass the FDA, LFGB and other relevant food grade test reports. However, if some manufacturers add excessive auxiliary materials to the materials in order to reduce costs, it is obviously not up to the environmental requirements.
In addition, if the requirements for environmental protection are high, we can add platinum vulcanizing agent or tasteless vulcanizing agent to refine silicone rubber for tablet production.
During production, after the silica gel product is molded by one high temperature vulcanization, we also need to conduct secondary vulcanization to remove the odor. If we need to submit it for inspection, we need to repeatedly boil it with boiling water for several times to meet the requirements of safety, environmental protection, non-toxic and tasteless.
