Rubber over vulcanization: refers to the state of the rubber material under high temperature and long time.

Dead rubber: Due to improper operation, the early vulcanization of the mixed rubber with vulcanizing agent during processing or parking, the essence is: the rubber is partially crosslinked. The resulting rubber is called dead rubber. The professional term for this phenomenon is called scorch, which is generally called dead rubber in factories. In fact, it is the scorched rubber.

In the actual processing process, in order to avoid the danger of scorch and make the rubber material have better in-mold fluidity, the method of adding an anti-scorch agent is often used to solve.

Early curing occurs when rubber compounds are processed or parked before vulcanization, also known as bin cure.

The cause of scorch in rubber compounds is mainly due to improper formula design, such as inappropriate accelerator types and excessive amounts; excessive temperature for mixing, extrusion, and pressing delay; too high temperature and long time for rubber compounds to stop.

Preventing rubber scorch can be improved by formula and process for the above reasons, and it can also be achieved by using a scorch retarder to extend the scorch time of the rubber.
